Stephen N. Pease was born 27 November 1837 in Vermont. He married Eliza (Annie) McEvan in Chicago around 1865. Eliza was born in 1846 in Massachusetts. Stephen Pease settled in Chicago sometime prior to the 1860 census when he was living on Illinois St. between Dearborn St and Wolcott St. (now State St.)
Stephen died in Chicago on 26 December 1899 and he is buried in Rosehill Cemetery. Eliza's date of death is not known.
