Gordon, Eleanor Lytle Kinzie (1835-1917) usually called Nellie, and granddaughter of John Kinzie, early Chicago pioneer. This letter, written to The Chicago Daily News, reminded readers that she was “the oldest person now living” who had been born in Chicago.
