McDonnell Residence

Arthur Patrick McDonnell was born in 1841 in Tullamore, Kings county, Ireland. He came to Chicago around 1870 and it was at Old St. Patrick's Church that he married Ann Simons on 11 May 1872. Ann had been born in Dublin, Ireland in 1849.

For a time, the McDonnell's lived at 84 W. 18th Street (now 532 W. 18th).

Ann died on 26 august 1879 and Arthur followed on 3 December 1886. They are both buried in Calvary Cemetery, Evanston, Illinois.
