Langan Residence

Alfred D. Langan was born in Scotland in 1829. Circa 1850, he married May (Mary) Walker who had been born in Scotland in 1830. They first lived in Massachusetts, but by 1855 they had settled in Chicago. In 1859, the family lived at 33. N. Clark St. (now Clark St. near Kinzie). May died 13 April 1863 in Chicago.

In 1866, Alfred married his second wife, Anna Spenser (born 1851 in Canada). Additional children were born to this union. Alfred died 3 May 1896 and Anna died 19 August 1902. May, Alfred and Anna are all buried in Calvary Cemetery in Evanston, Illinois.
