Kolb Residence

Philip Kolb was born in Baden, Germany in 1828. He came to Chicago in 1854 with his wife Barbara Zimmerman. Their home was located on South Wells Street between Polk Street and Taylor Street, today the 1000 block of South Wells Street. Barbara died in 1894 and Philip died in 1913. They are buried at Forest Home Cemetery in Forest Park, IL.
