Indian Encampment

Street Address:
Lincoln Park
Chicago, IL

This was a Native encampment in Lincoln Park, placed here to celebrate the centennial of the founding Fort Dearborn from September 26 to October 1, 1903. For this event, Winnebago and Sac-Fox peoples were allowed to set up camp in what is now Lincoln Park so the city could have an authentic Native presence at the celebration.
