Cemetery Name: Cook County Cemetery at Dunning

Status: Closed
Date established: 1854

Little remains of original cemetery which was a "Potter's Field" near the old county poor house and mental hospital. The cemetery was forgotten until building construction unearthed hundreds of bones. Commemoration markers have been installed.
