This is the location of the American Indian Health Service, Chicago. Established in 1974, this facility offers a wide range of services to the urban population of Chicago as well as the American Indian Community. These services include everything from regular checkups to treatment for diabetes and alcoholism.
The American Indian Health Service serves as a lasting legacy of Carlos Montezuma in Chicago. This is a place where Native people can come and receive medical care in a professional, culturally sensitive environment that works to promote and elevate the health status of American Indians to the highest level possible and provide affordable and accessible health care.
