John D. Beach was born about 1797 in New York. He settled in Chicago in 1838. John married a woman named Sarah who was born 24 February 1806 in Niagara, Canada. John died 9 September 1850 and Sarah died 10 March 1891. They are both buried in Oakwoods Cemetery in Chicago.
