The company, started in 1865 by William Rustman, was located at this address in 1900, although it had numerous warehouses. Article includes photographs. This Memoir by Wilfred R. Franson may also be of interest.

I have a sepia photo of my uncle, Jakob Aase, an immigrant from Norway, standing proudly by his Jefferson Ice truck in the 1920s/30s. I can send a copy by Messenger if anyone’s interested.
