An Agudath Achim was listed at this address in the city directory of 1929. That is the only year a congregation of this name is listed at this address. The same year, there is also a listing for Agudagh Achim (also known as Agudas Achim) at 5092 Kenmore. An article in the Tribune of Mar. 24, 1929, describes the Bernard location as a "community house."
4918 N. Bernard was also the address of the mansion of De Lancey Louderback, a wealthy real estate investor. Louderback died on April 10, 1914. There is a photograph of his home in the Chicago Daily News collection at the Chicago History Museum.
Whether this congregation used the former Louderback home is unclear.
