Amongst the founders of St. Mark's Lutheran Church were Wilhelm Genz and his son Theodore Genz. A German text shows: "The registered officials. The following were selected: 1. Das Kirchenvorfteher (the church master): Johann Medrow and Heinrich Hagen; 2. Das Schulvorftecher (the School master): Theo. Genz and Wm. Genz"
