Johann Friedrich Diederich Gruschow was born 1 Oct 1797 in Germany. In 1826 her married Marie Caroline Buttner (born 10 Dec 1799) and arrived in Chicago in 1854. He lived on Schiller Street near Wells Street. Johann died on 16 Mar 1875 and Marie died before 1860. They are buried at the Wunder's Cemetery.
